    How It’s Graded

    The writing sample is graded by members of our internal team who take the following criteria into consideration:

    1. Punctuation

    Compose your writing sample free of any punctuation errors. Be mindful of your use of commas and other punctuation; this demonstrates your understanding of our style guide and general grammar.

    2. Style

    The writing sample must focus on the TITLE KEYWORD and contain at least 100 words. You must place the keyword in the first sentence of the summary, and you should include just ONE additional keyword somewhere else in the paragraph.

    3. Grammar

    Keep your sample in the present tense. Maintain either 2nd or 3rd person throughout the entire sample (avoiding 1st person pronouns, such as “I, me, my, we, us, our”).

    4. Spelling

    Your writing sample must not contain any spelling errors, including common mistakes. Typos are counted as spelling errors. Please proofread your work!

    5. Creativity/Purpose

    Sample must show your creative side and attempt to make the topic as interesting as possible to the reader. Also keep in mind that the paragraph is for an ONLINE STORE that is looking to sell this product.
